The Gospel of the landfill Daniele Moschetti ( Dissension / Creative Editions)
"Father Daniel's book collects her letters and the struggles of the years he spent in Korogocho 2001 to 2008. Seven years hard, difficult, mission in the slums of Korogocho, one of the many slums of Nairobi. Korogocho is a hill one mile square where they are piled up 100-120 thousand people. There are no special services by the municipality except that drinking water is brought in slums and then resold, and this is disconcerting and is a major problem. The poor pay for the water much more than the rich who use it to Nairobi to fill their swimming pools.
Missive from an "other" world, as Daniel Comboni missionary, lived and worked extensively in Korogocho. This is one of the more than two hundred slums of Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, a country where six out of ten people survive on a dollar a day. It is a world we do not know, because too often in front of it - aching humanity that inhabits it - we prefer to close their eyes, quieting emotions, distract the mind. " (Don Luigi Ciotti)
